Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

Since I updated to the latest Karamba I don't seem to be able to run the solver. I keep getting the following error from the solver component. It seems to happen with any solver component

1. External component has thrown an exception.

Any ideas about this? I've already tried to do a clean installation of the software including carefully deleting the older .gha and .dll files. I've also checked that the .dll and .gha files haven't become blocked and there aren't any extraneous .dll or .gha floating around my system.

Hi James,

what message do you get when you put a Karamba 'license'-component on the canvas?
Do you see the following files of Karamba 1.2.0.:

  • C:\Windows\libiomp5md.dll from 26.01.2016 07:20
  • C:\Windows\karamba.dll from 06.07.2016 15:32
  • C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 5.0 (64-bit)\Plug-ins\karamba.gha from 06.07.2016 19:23?

Make sure to remove all other occurrences of karamba.gha

Best,

Clemens

Hi Clemens,

I too have the same issue as James. Have tried all the troubleshooting recommendations.

Are you able to assist?

Kind Regards,

Drew

I haven't hear back from James yet, but I think the source of the problem was that his network license had expired.

Best,

Clemens

Hi Clemens,

The license says "No License" and has no expiry date and is limited to non commercial use. The same license status worked several days ago. Also only the analysis component is red. All others are accepting large numbers of elements unlike the trial.

Thoughts?

Kind Regards
Drew
