elements were removed/deactivated

Hi,

I have a model with a three dimensional lattice and in certain zones, shell elements are inserted into the lattice.

The model works perfectly when I test the 3D lattice and the shells separately. Unfortunately when I assemble the whole model, I have a message in the info output of the Assemble Component saying : "8405 elements were removed/deactivated due to zero length or area".

Do you have any idea of what could be causing this ?

Hi Yousef,

does the model look distorted or incomplete when you combine the beam and shell parts?

Hi clemens,

I figured out the distance tolerance in the Assemble component was too small, so it removed items considered as zero length. I increased the tolerance value ( made it smaller) and all is working now !
