Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm making my first GH component with Karamba functionality. As a first test I tried to hard code a support at the origin in a component without input. However, when I build the component and connect the support to the 'assemble model' component I get the following error : "Data conversion failed from Support to Support".

Can someone tell me what mistake i'm making? Thank you

Dear Momo,

it looks like the 'karamba.gha'-assembly is loaded twice.

In order to remedy this try the following:

  • In the Rhino textwindow run the command 'GrasshopperDeveloperSettings' and unhook 'memory load *.GHA...'. Unload Grasshopper, reload it and test whether the problem still exists
  • Name your Plugin so that it comes in alphanumeric order after 'karamba'.

Best,

Clemens

Dear Clemens,

Thank you for the quick reply.

'memory load *.GHA...' was already unhooked and the Plugin name starts with a "m".

I ended up deleting the karamba.gha assembly in 'C:\Program Files\Rhino 6\Plug-ins' and only keeping and referencing the karamba.gha assembly in C:\Users\momo\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries. I don't know if this will give me errors in the future but it works for now.

Best Regards
