algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

Could you help me please; I have a doubt about my modeling. I have element in aluminum recessed on one side and loaded on the other. I have a doubt about the supports because I used a divide to create supports, is that correct then I do not know how to integrate the thickness in my model. I have a doubt also about a load. Should i use a beam modeling or a shell?.

Hi Sandra,

make sure to select all points at the fixed support and not only some.

The thickness of the shell can be defined using a shell cross section definition (see manual).

In case of your open cross section it makes sense to use shell elements since the loads deform the cross section shape.

Best,

Clemens
