Beam hinge joints

Hello guys,

I just notice that in my file, I just cannot turn the joints between the cables and the two shells into hinges. I have checked the ID of the cables. They are correct. However, the joints are only rotatable in one direction. So they are not hinges so far.

Is there anyone who can help me with that?

After the first Kangaroo part, it should look like this.

Hi your current cable elements are defined as truss elements (defined with the orange circle) which means they are free to rotate in all directions and do not take bending moments. If you wish to have more control on these elements, you can use the BeamJoints component to control the specific joint itself.
