algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello everyone ,
I'm trying to develope a kangaro definitionfor my master studies and I was hoping somebody would help me or even guide me to some tutorials where I can find a ways to improve my defention.
basiclly what I'm doing is try to process a plastic sheets by heating a certain paths and points to a certain degree then vaccuum the whole plastic sheet by a simple machine which I built, now after I understood my material behaviour I would like to creat a digital simulation so it could work in an efficient way in term of designing a building or something like that more like a pavilion, "which would be my task that I should present after 6 weeks". I have attached certain pictures for the prototypes which I did.
I'm using the unaryforce to pull the edges upward or downward and the anchor points would reassemble the heating bath, the point is I don't know how to stop the unary force at certain point, the second question, that I couldn't do the edge conditions or the curls"which they are important for me ".
I'll really appreciate it if anyone could give me some hints how I can improve my definition.
I attached also my definition"which is very simple anyway".
I hope my explenation was clear though.

Have you tried using Kangaroo Physics Settings component and setting "Floor" to true, which doesn't let any geometry deform below that plane? Of course you would need to set your floor height at the level you want the simulation to stop at.
You could also investigate the independent (of Grasshopper and Kangaroo) plug-in Rhino Mold which is useful for designing molds and plastic parts. It sounds like you are using something similar to Vacuum Forming which is usually accomplished with heat and pressure (from a vacuum pump).
exactly I'm using the vacuum forming, I never heard of rhino mold before, but I'll check it up now. I'll try also the floor settings too. thanks very much for the reply ))
Welcome to
Grasshopper
