algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi Everyone
I am trying to create a chain of lines with specified rest lengths.
However I don't get them to properly push and drag each other as a chain.
What am I missing here?
Numbers come from a point list on the startpoint of each line. The multicolored lines are input and the red are kangaroo output offset in Y for visibility. As you can see they behave badly in X.
The upper example the input lines are flipped in relation to the line list, resulting in a slightly better output.
There is also an anchor in pt 0.
Would really appreciate advice!

Hi Frans. Having issues downloading your file (behind a uni firewall here). But have a look at the attached file and see if that helps. Hope you're all doing well over in Sweden :) Best, Anders
Thanks Anders!
Tried to find out why your definition worked and mine not (quite similar), but then I managed to destroy yours as well :) Turns out that the lengths supplied can´t deviate to much from the line supplied. Hopefully this wont be too much of a problem for my project.
I was kinda going nuts there for a while, otherwise everything is fine. Looking forward to seeing you in gothenburg!
