algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

i keep paying attention about the interesting things people do with kangaroo.
im interested in simulating flexinol wires.
i found its properties here: http://www.jameco.com/Jameco/Products/ProdDS/357931.pdf
i wanted to ask someone if any of these properties can be simulate accurately with the springfromline force ?
Im planning to use flexinol to control kinetic systems like this:

hi, i am also currently doing a project using flexinol (or nitinol, which ever i can get sooner). I am using firefly to upload to my arduino, and just using a slider for "move" as the simulation for the movement generated by a nitinol spring. with the right settings Im hoping it will run fine just remapping the numbers and using the same slider to activate the real nitinol wire.

one issue i am having though is updating the kangaroo model with new load points - for example, how do you create a second deformation from the original one, changing loads based on "roaming points" - similar to your video at about 4min15seconds? i am trying with "hoopsnake", but no luck so far...

any suggestions?

have a look at the file attached if you want.
