Controlling Direction of Bending

Hi guys,

I'm trying to simulate a gridshell form that was manually tested (images attached), but am struggling to control the bottom arc's bend direction. In Kangaroo it seems to bend inward, but I want to be able to somehow control it to bend outward like it did in the physical model. Is there something I'm missing to be able to control it this way?
