algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello forum,
I am trying to use MeshMachine along with Kangaroo 2 to punch circle packed holes through a solid. I ran into 2 issues which I can't seem to get around, any help greatly appreciated.
1. The circle packing doesn't conform to a 2D boundary, as demonstrated here. Is either Kangaroo version capable of that without additional C# scripting? I couldn't find an example.
2. When I created extruded BRep cylinders from these circles and use the Solid Difference to carve holes out of a box, some of the cylinders are ignored, as can be seen in the following screenshot. Is there some kind of threshold or limitation I need to configure on the Solid Difference component?
The source is attached, I set up MeshMachine to run 300 iterations without a timer for convenience, but I got the same behavior with a regular timer as well.
Thanks for any insights or pointers, I'm new to GH so sorry if anything here is an obvious newbie error.
