algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi. Daniel. I am testing wave component in kangaroo at the moment for my research. I was just wondering if you could help me to figure it out what went wrong with my definition. I am guessing that there is a bug in this component but I might be wrong.
In theory, low frequency should be long wavelength and high frequency should be short but it seems that they are behaving quite opposite and even not reliable. Please advise.
Thankstest.gh

Hi Kwanphil,
What you are seeing is not a bug, just an artefact from how you are sampling the values - a sort of stroboscopic effect.
The counter component increments by 1 each time it is refreshed by the timer. To get smooth sinusoidal curves try making your frequency a small value such as 0.1
Thanks a lot for quick reply. Would you say then the frequency value should be between 0 to 1? Another word, what is sort of default range of value for each parameter?
Frequency 0 -1
Amplitude 0-100??
Phase shift ??
Baseline??
I think it will be really beneficial if there are more explanation regarding this component. Thanks again
