algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello again Andrew,
There is curve, mesh and text render to screen. Is it possible to have points rendered to screen too?
i tried using very small circles you each point and then render curve to screen, but when having many points things get laggy. Maybe that would be the case with points too. There is also the circles orientation which at same point come to foreground when zooming
Thank you
best,
alex
edit* also i was wondering if it is possible to choose from which viewport each geometry set is rendered. Imagine isometric views all in one screen.

what would you like them to look like? follow the style of GH point display - so X or dot depending on user settings?
Yes that would work, provided that it has all the other options like curves render (color, points size). But if cloud display component could be called, that would be nice too.
thank you fro your answer.
best

here's a quick take. it just renders "Simple" points which are little squares on my machine. But you can control their size and color.
Thank you for the lightning fast update.
works great!

Hello Andrew
I am puzzled by something. can you please explain me what happens here.
i thought for the xz circle, a straight line would be displayed, provided that the render components have the f (fixed) option set to true. But i think i have guessed wrong and the fixed option does not mean that the preview is drawn according to top view port.
cheers

It is *roughly* drawn according to the top viewport - however, because you are in a perspective viewport, the geometry is drawn in perspective. You can "cheat" it by scaling your mesh to a very low factor in the Z (0.01), or you can switch to a parallel viewport. Also, because it is a mesh and infinitely thin, in a true "top" style view you probably wouldn't see the XZ circle at all unless you give it some thickness.
