Library not registered

Hi Stephan,
Up until now we didn't have this error reported, but it seems that it is caused by the issue that some of the users reported: mapWinGIS was not properly registered when installed.

These are two topics where users reported a bit similar issues:

Can you try to follow the steps in this reply, and see if the problem goes away.

The newest version of MapWinGIS is 5.00, but try using the version 4.9.4.2 x64 as stated in the steps.

Hi Djordje,

I got the same error: Runtime error (COMException): Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED))

And I confirm that following the steps in your previous reply solves the issue!

I was not as successful. Still getting the error attached. I have run through the steps in the above links as administrator and still no luck with the exception that I have installed MapWinGIS v5.0.1. Any thoughts?

Running Windows 7 64bit, Rhino 6, GS 1.0.0007

Hi Michael,
Do you have Administrator rights on your Windows account?

Yes. It is a single account with administrator access. I read in some other posts that windows 10 operators had to create an administrator account. Is this required for Windows 7?

It shouldn't be.
Would you do me a favor, and try the following these steps once again?
At step 6, download the actual MapWinGIS v4.9.4.2 64 bit version from here. So we will try with that version.

Hi Michael,

I am glad it worked!
It won't matter. It is actually recommended to run the MapWinGIS v4.9.4.2 32/64 bit as Gismo was tested on this version.
The new features that came with MapWinGIS > v4.9.4.2 have not been implemented into Gismo.
