Problem with getting elevation height!!

I have a problem with the get terrain things, the issue is that sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't function. I do all the steps, picture frame the site in rhino, scale (1=1) & assigning the reference point from google earth, but sometimes it works & sometimes it doesn't , not even the example files ?

Arian, this is based on google. There are limitations. If you query too many points, google will block you...if you query too many times a day, google will block you. The block usually lasts for 24 hours and is for the IP. So lets say you are doing this at IaaC. If you get blocked, anyone accessing the google API service from IaaC will be blocked for 24 hours. I typically do not ask for more than say, 3600 pts at once, maybe up to 5k. After I do so, I record the information to a notepad file and then I remove the elevations component. Remember, if you keel the elevations component in the stream, any downstream updates will trigger another query to google. If this happens a lot, GOOGLE WILL BLOCK!
