algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I used gHowl for over a year and loved it. I'm on a new computer and need to re-download gHowl for the first time in a while. I was looking for the newest version and want to confirm where it is.
On the Food4Rhino page there is a version dated Sep-5-2011, which seems kind of old to be the newest version. That same page mentions that it is also available on GitHub; I've never used GitHub before, however, and I am totally lost once I get there.
Could someone clarify where I should be looking for the most recent version? Thanks

Hello!
Yes, r50 is the latest release, although I've beebn coding away on an update for some time...albeit very slowly. On github you will find code I pushed 11 months ago,m but no compiled component. You would need to compile it yourself.
If you like, I can send you a development release in the next few days. You will have to install a few things as there is some new functionality that relies on third party libraries. Message me to get this going.

Thank you Luis. Frankly when it comes to coding etc I'm a novice in most aspects. I couldn't' even get past the compiling stage. I'll more than happily use the current version (Sep-5-2011) and await the new and improved gHowl when you have it ready. Thank you for your help!
I just downloaded the r50 file and unzipped it. I put the .gha file in the Grasshopper library. However, do I need to install the .msi in the dependencies folder to work? I ask because I don't own this computer, so I don't want to install something that my affect it in unknown ways. Or is it possibly just in case of need and not absolutely required?
The dependencies are these third party libraries. If I am not mistaken, the one you speak of is Microsoft's OpenXMLSDK which is what the spreadsheet components use to read and write.
