algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Jon,

I just started working with geometry gym and made a construction where I need a uniform load on the roof and on the beams, so the load will be equally divided over the leaf like structure I made, but now I have the problem that I can't find out how to make a structural roof with the uniform load on it, I was hoping maybe you could give me some tips for this problem?

Kind regards,

Anne

Hi Anne,

Thanks for the email.  I can see the uniform loads are being generated and included in the IFC file, which application are you importing the IFC into that doesn't recognize the loads?

Cheers,

Jon

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your fast reply!

I put them in GSA, but they only work in an upwards direction and I don't inderstand how to put them in the negative Z direction?

Kind regards,

Anne

Sorry, I must have only quickly looked at your model (I thought it was using ifc components, not gsa).  But your clarification helps me understand your question.

I've attached a modification, simply multiply the load intensity by -1 and it will point downwards.

Let me know if that doesn't achieve what you need.

Cheers,

Jon
