Truss optimization example

Hi Everyone,

Last week I decided that it would be fun to analyze some structural engineering problems and solve them by using a combination of GH, SSI for GSA and Galapagos. :)

In today's video I'll deal with the design of a simply supported planar truss.

Next week I'll explore a bridge based on the M8 Harthill Pedestrian Bridge design.

Please post any questions you may have in the comments and I'll gladly answer them. The definition is included below.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for posting another great example, and look forward to seeing more.

I certainly appreciate others helping learn these tools, certainly what I assume might me obvious is quite likely not to be the case for others looking at these tools from a starters perspective.
