algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi
I've built this structure in rhino/grasshopper, but now i have a problem:
I've been trying to import this structure using the geometrygym tools, but still no sucess (still don't get how to use it). Can someone help me?
Thank you for the attention.

Hi,
Thanks for posting. Unfortunately it's a bit of an arm wrestle to try and get something like this in Revit. Here's some help to get started.
For a start, Revit doesn't like vertical framing elements. So in the attached I've used a c# component to dispatch these so we can make columns.
Then Revit doesn't like non-planar elements, and realistically elements can only be rolled at a constant radius anyway. So I've used my bullant component to break the nurbs down to polycurves consisting of arcs and lines.
Even then, revit is trying to "know better" and is trying to move end points of the elements around, which then causes a problem that can't be ignored, and then the import operation effectively has to be cancelled.
I didn't resolve this yet. I was trying to isolate a sample of the model with a small number of elements to see if it can be worked around.
I've attached how I tackled it thus far so you can see the approach.
If you can isolate a small number of elements, let me know, else I'll look at this in more detail when I can.
Thanks,
Jon
Jon, we could try a simple truss no problem. And your solution was very useful.
I've been testing your solution a single truss. The main problem now is the sharp curves. Revit does not recognize those. Even when I've scaled up and split the curve in rhino, he still couldn't understand some segments of the truss.
Let Me send You the truss file and a pic with the error:
Thank you again Jon,
Jefersson
