How to trim a curve / brep

Hi guys,

I am currently working on parametric timber shell structures for which I just started to make a parametric model, but I ran into a small problem, which I can not figure out. First I made a simple rectangular surface with a circular void within it. After that a hexagonal cells are placed over the surface. Now I would like to trim the hexagonal cells around the circle, so it becomes a real void after form-finding. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance!
