Please can someone help? I have been trying to follow this “orient objects onto surfaces by digitaltoolbox.info” tutorial http://youtu.be/kNfjFYukljk and apply it to my geodesic dome structure generator with limited success. If anyone could help me laid out flat the pieces that would be grate?
Tidied up my definition a bit and noticed there is a difference if you’re starting point is 0,0,0 if you move the point out from 0,0,0 is works better and you don’t get added lines on the top polygon. Half the dome still looks a mess but you can extract the good half from the back. Was wondering if it is possible to just have the good bits all round instead of half the dome?
I have switched the prevue off on the bit that is supposed to lay out flat all the surfaces as this is work in progress and looks a mess to start with.
I'm stating the obvious but it took me a little time to figure out but you need a plugin for this script to work. The script works fine with Rhino R7 and this plugin for gh called BullAnt (formerly StructDrawRhino)

Note: it requires a license validation by sending an email then waiting for a 30-day non-commercial license
is there any way to create a geodesic dome without this plug-in?
