Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

wondering if anyone can help. I'm trying to use gg to control a formfinding task in GSA, but i can't find how to set the 2d properties for soap-film or force density, 1d properties work fine.

I understand this was possible, maybe its just no longer supported.(http://geometrygym.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/grasshopper-gsa-form-find... though the ssi operation sends an error about the array being too short).

I'd be grateful for any ideas,

Hi,

For me this example model is still working.  It's pretty rare for features to be retracted (although it is possible the gwa can be changed and the plugin requires an adjustment).

In the model "110604 normal properties 1.gh", try setting the solving component (outputting displaced nodes) "close model" input to false.  If you have had GSA running prior to starting rhino, the you can manually check the model to see if the data is set properly.

With regards to the error about array being too short, this has been reported but the fix might not have made the latest public builds of the plugin installers yet.  Can you please check that the GSA plugin is loading correctly in Rhino using the plugin manager command?  Also refer http://www.geometrygym.com/installing

Cheers,

Jon
