Avoiding roaming fees with eSIM

I’m so sick of insane roaming charges—last summer in France, my carrier hit me with a $200 bill just for checking emails and maps! I’m traveling to Australia next month, and I want an eSIM to avoid that mess again. I need something affordable, maybe 10GB for two weeks, since I’ll be streaming music and video chatting.
