Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I have created a component in grasshopper, now I want that the points from the component move by daylight. It has to work just like a sort of diaphragm. The less light the points move towards the origin-point, the more light they move so the opening is going to be closed with the surfaces. So the more sun the "eye" have to be more closed.

How can I apply geco into the script, so that the points move by sun/daylight?

daylight is not sunlight.

For daylight calculations we us a diffuse sky model.

If you want to use the sun as a attractor use the sun path and sunray component.

If the ray of the sun hits your component(you will use the vector to shoot from your point against your geometry) and if there is an intersection than let it close.

As a second value you could use the daytime as a damper for the degree of closeness.
