algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I can generate topos with srtm but I can't get it to work with img or geotiff files. The info output is correctly identifying the content of the files. I have tried several of each of these file types. I have tried entering the lat and long as listed in the info file as well as making a much smaller domain. I can't get any points or surfaces to output. I've tried reinstalling the add-on and I've tried this on multiple systems. I can't figure out what might be the issue. Also the new osm components are really great.

Does it give you an error, or just nothing at all?  Also if you can provide a file or at least a screenshot of it then I can try to replicate the issue and see what's going on.

Here is an example and I've also included the thumb of the img file. There aren't any errors it just doesn't output anything. I've tried it with smaller domains and I've swapped the beginning and end values for the domains as well. Hopefully you can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I see two problems here.  One, your longitude domain has it's numbers reversed.  It should be left to right/smallest to biggest so make it -119 To -118.  Another problem is that the domains you have going into the topography component are swapped. Your latitude domain is going into the longitude input and your longitude domain is going into your latitude input.

That being said, there still seems to be an error on my end when you try to grab all of a tile, at least with GeoTiff's and IMG files.  I'm guessing it's a rounding error somewhere but I haven't tracked it down yet.  You will probably need to grab slightly less than the full tile size if you're using them, -118.999 To -118.001 kind of thing rather than -119.000 To -118.000.

Thanks very much. Works great now. I know my numbers were reversed and flipped but I was just trying any and all combinations. It seems that when a hole number is used there are problems and I think because of that I wasn't getting any points to display and that sent me trying any and all combinations. As long as I input the domains correctly and change and integer values by a few seconds it works just fine.

I think I noticed the rounding error a couple of months ago, but was too busy with work to deal with it.  Spent a little time this afternoon resolving it, so if you download the latest version (2.2.1) that I just released you should be able to get the entire tile and not deal with offsets as you get near the border of the file.

Fantastic thanks very much I'll download it right away. - jason

This post just gave me a solution. Thank you.
