algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I'm not sure about location, but you can use the diva grasshopper plugin to export data to excel, and then create functions to manipulate the data. There is a plugin tool called lunchbox which will allow you to setup data boxes that export to the excel sheet.
You can choose to calculate, for example, data for the first day of each month at a given time. Then set up your excel to operate with functions that manipulate the incoming data. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Thanks Miller for your response, what you said makes a lot of sense, I tried to use the lunchbox component, but I wasn't able to extract the daylight parameters from the DIVA components since it only produces values for iluminance, daylight factor, ect....any idea how to do it??
Sorry Dalia, but I haven't tried to use diva to do this kind of thing. Wish I could be more help. Good luck!
Hi Dalia,
You will have the option for month-day-hour to be component inputs (rather than just pull down menu items) in the next component release. This will work for visualization and illuminance simulations.
