algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi, I am tryng to iterate an example with shading devices but when the slider goes to 0 (meaning no shades) the simulations ( daylight and energy ) doesnt run, and it ends the process very fast could you help me telling me why is that or what do I need to do please ?

Assuming you don't need to preserve the tree structure of the shades for later use, you can likely just use the 'clean tree' component (ensuring remove nulls/empty is set to true) before inputting your geometry to the relevant daylight and energy components.
