shx to shp conversion?

Hi Mark, 

.shx file is the index file of the shape file. Shape file format is a vector base and you need three mandatory files in order to read the format. 

geodata.shp - main file 

geodata.shx - index file

geodata.dbf - attributes table

You cannot convert .shx to .shp file, just check the source again. Hope this helps and sorry for the late reply.

Alternatively, you can try the movavi editor https://www.movavi.com/videoconvertermac/ for MAC. I've been using it myself for over a year. User-friendly interface and high-speed performance.
