algorithmic modeling for Rhino
hi all,
at first a sucsessfull year 2012.
my zoom out is limited by the entire definition.
is it possible to adjust the max zoom out?
is it posible to wire elements without to drag the wire?
in my large definition, I have to slide over the hole board to connect :/
thanx

forgot one question :)
If I export a high res image from my big definition, Grasshopper crashes :/
any tipps to export a large definition?
The maximum zoom is 5% regardless of the "extents".
You should be able to drag a wire to the side of the canvas to move "off screen"
any tipps to export a large definition?
get a 64 bit system with lots more RAM, otherwise no.
Oh man it crashes on my big definition too. And I have x64 and 48Gigs RAM!
Memory should not be an issue. The hi-res image export only writes image tiles of 1000x1000 pixels, which will easily fit in the working memory of a 32-bit application, unless almost 2GB is already taken up by the application. The image tiles are stitched together by an external application which operates in it's own memory space. If this external app crashes it will not bring down Rhino or Grasshopper.
The bug must be elsewhere.

hey danny,
thanx for your fast answer.
in my large definition i have to zoom in to get the wire. in this zoomstrenght I have to slide over the hole definition. I thougt there is an easier way to wire 2 elements.
My System has 64bit and 6GB ram
with zoom 10 I get an error message :/
andy ideas?
You can plug your input into an empty data parameter on one side of the definition, use ctrl-x to cut, and then navigate to where you want it to go, use "paste in center", and the result should remain connected. You can then either ctrl-shift drag the wire to move it (and then delete the data parameter) or just plug the output of the parameter into wherever you need it to go.
This idea is great and interesting ! Thanks for sharing .
hey andrew,
perfect. this will work for me.
thanx a lot
btw. I copied the definition in a new file and the high res export doesn´t crash.

Can I have the file so I can try and find the bug?
You can use the McNeel upload server if it's too large for email (>5MB).

hey david,
I´d sent the files via email yesterday.
Did you reach the data?
_tim
I don't think so. Nothing in my inbox from anyone named Lemmler.
