Hello...Is it possible to give a Z value to a ''rectangle'' component?

Hi Lida, could you post a print screen of what you want to do?
Do you mean move a rectangle to a specific height?
Then you could use the "move" component and assign a "unit z" vector to it with a specific value.

Hey Arthur,
Yeah, Kengo worked on my pavilion and he sent me the file on which I am working on (and trying to understand how it works-how to manipulate and control all the different points as you showed us on Saturday_) and I just want to creat the ''columns'' if I can call them that..
What I want is to apply Kengo's Shape(pic 2) in The vertical axis as well...hope it makes sense?
Also to be able to have a gap between the rectangles rather than them being attached to each other..tried to move the point using the Unit x but could not make it work. Thanks
sorry, just realised the images did not attach

Hello,
I tried extrude and it looks like this....................I tried to use the sweep component but doesn't work because the line I need it to follow is parametric??
Many thanksss

Hi Lida,
You are trying to follow these lines for the extrusion right?
Therefore, your rails should be the lines you want ro sweep your rectangles on not the z direction otherwise you will always get a vertical extrusion.
Plug your lines into rail "R" input on the sweep component and plug your rectangles in the Section Crv "S" input...
let me know
hey Arthur, Sorry to be asking this but I cannot seem to find the right SectionCrv component, the ones I got do not have the S input......where is it /or what do you type in?Thanks
I was talking about the "S" input in your sweep (Swp1) component. Plud your rectangles there and your lines in the "R".
Did it but nothing happened....ignore the Z value at the T input (my mistake). Thanks Arthur for your help
