algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello All,
I have been going over this and over this and still dont understand how to fix the issues I am having.
What I am after:
I am working on a definition that should generate adjustable basket woven strips along my given surface.
My issues:
A few strips are intersecting their neighbors rather than lying across them.
The strips should follow the GREEN direction rather than the blue direction
I have attached my definition and the Rhino file to this post. At first I attempted to sweep along the NURBS curves I generated; that did not work. Then with this version I thought it would be better to use a Ruled Surface, which works but is a little crude . . . but I am all out of ideas with this one. Any help would be great.

I had a look at this but I'm struggling to follow exactly what you have done.
What did strike me though was that the structure of the definition for the weave in one direction was different to the weave in the other direction.
If this was my def, I would look again at the top half of the definition, create logical Groups of components and give those groups names / descriptions so you can better explain what is going on in the definition.
The top half of the definition seems to work fine... all you need to do is recreate it to do the same thing at 90degrees :)
I'll have a longer look at this later and see if I can understand it better as it was similar to something I did with meshes instead of surfaces...

You are fantastic! I was sitting looking at this and then you said "recreate it to do the same thing at 90 degrees" . . . and then BOOM. Technically it isn't 90 degrees but a mirror function of the inverse pattern!! it was literally one adjustment! ONE!
This has saved me what I imagined to become HOURS of tweaking and praying.
