mmm... divide catenary curve on points, create polyline and create link/chain geometry if you want...

Yeah I am doing that now... but GH still calculate the catenary curves... I do have lots of them.. i believe defining the number of segments will make it run faster!

maybe you could ask to giulio piacentino, he made the first catenary component:
