algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi David,

Any chance of a component that when you click on it takes you to another location on the canvas. It could simply restore a Saved View as one possible way to achieve this or to have a pair of components that when clicked on take you to the other one.

Imaging nice time travels through the canvas :D

I think restoring views would be best served by a widget rather than a canvas object. I sort of imagine little arrows flocking around the edge of the canvas pointing at locations off screen that represent saved views. However a flip back and forth object-pair is an interesting idea. I'll try it, and if it's not too weird it will be available in the next release.

This sounds very cool, but I see it getting crowded with names, unless you can specify a colour and have the tooltip popup with the name. EDIT: and the ability to disable/enable different ones

flip back and forth object-pair

looking forward to it!

I haven't played with clusters much, but I guess good practice could be to start clustering stuff up when you feel you need this widget to move around the definition.

interface and functionality not necessarily final.

Hohoho! Nice!

That's cool.  Nicely done.

excellent

Only one idea...what about tags? I've seen that the logic that the tools follows to order the jumps is creation order, and could be a little bit embarrassing with complex definitions (hard to remember where this or that other jump goes). Tag could be in a little bubble over the object or inside (this second choice I suppose that is worst because needs more code to be written because of dynamic resizing), or appears only when the mouse is putted over...

nice one :-)

Hm, is it possible to move around with this jump component not only by clicking on it but also by moving mouse over with wire? Sometimes it's very uncomfortable to connect 2 distant components in big definition. Something like:

I hope you know what i mean:)
