Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

What's wrong with Rhino? Or is it just my Laptop?!

usually, when I create a string with the help of GH, I can NOT click on it in Rhino ... Until I "bake" the thing ... I am not hungry and I haven't done this yet! When is Rhino playing crazy?!

Rhino does not know about Grasshopper objects until you bake them. Therefore you can not get rhino to select them

I don't know what's going on here ... I didn't bake nothing! ...

Man...

...or think/read a little bit before doing it...every time someone open a new post without searching before, David kills a kitty :P

keyword to search about: volatile data

I'm posting here because I have a problem ... And this problem is still killing me untill you wrote "volatile data" ... This is the result of my posting ... How would I even know, that it has something to do with volatile data? ;)

What component are you using to make the letters?

it used to work well before and it wasn't a mess like this now ... and the "bold" input is not working good ... It's not working at all! :D

Perhaps in your definition you bake text every time the slider is moved...where did you get that component? It could be easiest if you share a capture for the whole definition ;)

Where to get the right "txtlines" component for Grasshopper 0.9.0014 and how to use it in a proper way so that something like this won't happen? .... Thank you very much ...

Giulio's first version of that component worked well but there was a bit of cheating going on. In order to get the curves he had to step out of Grasshopper and use Rhino but latter releases of Grasshopper no longer deleted the Rhino Document Object after it was used.

I suggest you find another means of getting the text font you want. Try either Lunchbox or Andrew's HDTs

EDIT: Also I suggest you don't hide all your lines as it makes it impossible for us to take a glance at. Make life easy for us and yourself.

Danny: I hide the lines to make the point shape ("an O shape, remember? :)")

Ok, then I'll try something else for the text, that only uses grasshopper ... Lunchbox sounds more imaginative ... So I'll try this ...

EDIT: Here is where I got it:

Download v0.35 Installer - October 14, 2012

Sorry when I say line I meant Wires connecting Grasshopper components

ok, sorry for that ... This was because I'm trying to organize everything as well as possible so that I can present it ...

So I got the box now ... Where do I find "Arial Text"? ... Thank you man! ....
