Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello there,

the last Version of GH I work with is 0.6.0018, because I read about the warning that older files could not run on new version.
I decided not to update for so long, but now there are features in new GH I would realy like to try out
( Hey David, you remember my question about highquality-screenshot , a few days ago ? Here's the reason why I didn't find HI-Res-option...)

Well, I wonder what size the risk of failure is between both versions ?
Is it uncomplicated to downgrade back if the file dosn't run ?

Thanks ,
best regards,

Denis

IMHO, there's no risk. The new format has been around for almost 18 months, so its not like there's a lot of the old format (.wrm) out there. The main issue was that certain structures and components weren't being written out the same way, so each new version was breaking more things. With the new format (which is xml based), it allowed the in/out functions to change a little without completely breaking anything.

That aside, the new versions have so much good stuff that its hard to pass up. It wasn't that long ago that Undo was added, but I can't remember what its like to work in GH without it.
Hi Damien

thats good news, so next is to download the new version !!

Thanks,

Denis
