Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Amazed by some of the work I constantly find in here, and a bit ashamed by my level of knowledge, I decided to post a question, about professions of the people who use Grasshopper.

So what are you?

Programmer, Civil/Structural Engineer, Architect, Industrial Designer, Exterminator of Pests Grasshoppers or any other insects? Or something else? :)

I am an architect.

Thank you for all the replies.

Djordje,

Firstly you should not be ashamed of what you don't know :-); this website is to educate people who don't know. Moreover, I'm sure many are in the same boat as you are, and count me in it. Having said that, its never too late to start :-)

I'm an Architect in NZ

Arch student in 6. semester.

Grasshopper greatly enhanced my designs. Here at TU Vienna, GH is still far from being mainstram (in the lower semesters at least) and collegues are always buffled at the complexity of my drawings.

Last time i won a 100 euro prize for a pattern which was supposed to be applied to some compound wood panels. The definition literally took me less than 10 minutes to set up, bake & render (and an hour to trace with pencil on real paper).

Its as if im part of the secret Grasshopper Illuminati.

Really interesting, how does it apply?

I am an architect. And I decided to do something else. I will finish my studys next spring and in 2-3 years I want to design and build my own kindergarden. Maybe it will be the first parametric kindergarden :-)

Very interesting! :)
