Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I tried to create a very simple loft and extrude surface using 2 curves and NOTHING HAPPENS. NOTHING IS BEING CREATED!!! WHY? i can not understand. And this is happening using many commands in Grasshopper recently.
Also is the development of grasshopper being terminated or suspended? When NEW VERSIONS will be created?
I HONESTLY believe that GRASSHOPPER IS FAR MORE A REVOLUTION in the industry of CAD than RHINO. Rhino is a very capable program that i think has reached its potentials and some minor improvements could be implemented. The DIFFERENCE NOW is being made by very few programs like GRASSHOPPER and GENERATIVE COMPONENTS. And the difference is in the amazing logic, visual, parametric and relational way that you design sth.

SECOND INSTANCE: a simple ghx file to divide a surface into u and v parts and create boxes around it. I tried it with 3 surfaces (see pic below) and NOTHING HAPPENS!!!!!

it's just because you don't follow the good way.
instead of using 2 inputs Crv components for your loft use one and "Set Multiple Curve " in.
about the extrusion check the scale of your Z vector, by default the length is 1, so depending of your global Unit the extruded surface can be very small

peace
Ι am sorry to belie you but i tried your way and nothing happened. Of course using 2 crvs instead of one with a multiple input is completely the same.
As for the z value i set it 100 and nothing happened again!
can you send your definition ?
here are the files the lofted surface appears now (i dont know how) but the sbox command on it isn't.

thanks!

so the problem was in the i input in the dividedomain2 component? but as you can see in the tutorial below a surface can also be inserted in the i input as well.
Maybe the component has been modified in the updated versions of GH.

probably..
im getting a similar problem all of a sudden while working on my file i cant seem to get any previews from components, is it possible my ghx is too big its over 1 meg? its really annoying i have to bake to see what changes happen, i have to finish my project soon so any help would be great.
it keep posting the same error message and the sbox component is inert.

Hi Boris,

0.7 should not be used for important work as it will probably have more bugs than the previous version.

I do not know why the display isn't working, but it is not because the file is too big. Most likely an error occured during the display, which causes the preview of all other objects to be short-circuited. It there a message printed in the command history when your viewports are redrawn?

Hello David,
I am not using 0.7 i am using 0.6.0059, and yes i am getting this message when i try to preview components
"Exception was thrown in ExecConduit(): Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

For old components it gives me line drawings and for newer work i cant get any previews.
