and if it no longer exists, is there a work-around/replacement?

That's the remove duplicate points component from Kangaroo1. However there now exists a native grasshopper component for this called "Cull Duplicates"

Do you by chance know what the component in picture number 2 is?  I literally looked through every component I have as well as an online rundown of almost every component and couldn't find it, lol

It's a C# scriptable component called "MeshFromPoints", don't remember who wrote it...
