Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This is an archive that comes whit the last weaverbird, I want to know how can I make a mesh regular like the left one. Because I try to make my own mesh by converting from a lot of rectangular polysurfaces, but when I apPly the Catmull Clark Subdivision I get an irregular subdivision.

Could it be a mesh made from T-Splines?

thanks

There was no other plug-in involved. I don't remember how I did it, but today I would probably use a mixture of these:

  • the _3dFace command in Rhino to make a mesh with one face, then _Join to unite several faces into one.
  • the _DeleteMeshFaces command.
  • _UnifyMeshNormals and some other mesh fixing commands.
  • (the hidden and unfinished _wbHiddenLoadBrep command)
  • patience :)
