Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I wanted to try out how to make a certain surface wavey. But I haven't had any luck so far.

Ive made the surface in rhino and referenced it in Grasshopper where I then divided it and thought I could move the resulting points but that didn't get me where I wanted to be.

Im imagining something along the lines of the following.

That I can specify in how many parts the surface is divided

How many points there are on each line.

And how "strong" the wave is.

Ideally I would be able to control each line/wave individually but thats not really necessary.

I would be very grateful for any help or tips.

Thanks!

Have a look at this video. He is doing something that might be what you want.

Hey thanks that looks pretty good. But might be a bit too complicated for what I have in mind?

I added what Ive got so far. I want to change the curves that they dont run from left to right but from top to bottom. And then add the waveform.
