algorithmic modeling for Rhino
2 plugins come to mind that make an approximation at simulating drainage.
Anemone has an example file that simulates drainage directions.
Kangaroo also could do it. Something like
1- populate surface/mesh with sample points, (raindrops).
2 - apply unary force to points, (telling raindrops to go down).
3 - use pull to surface force object
4 - add trails
note; the kangaroo suggestion applies to kangaroo v 0.099. There may be a simpler way in the latest release.
