voronoi combined with waffle / curved surface

Hello everyone! can anyone help me how to make a combined voronoi 2d with waffle? or maybe voronoi putted in curved surfave? i have a take home test with this concept,please and thanks before.. :)

Didn't want to insult you. It's just that Voronoi, surface mapping/projectio and waffles are pretty common topics around here. There are lots of definitions you could just download.

It always helps if you can post a sketch or a definition of where you are at and where you're stuck.
