algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi there,
I am a novice at using grasshopper 3d (I come from a solidworks background) so apologies if this is a stupid question:
Is it possible to confine the length (in regards to the z-direction) of a voronoi-based extrude based on the confines of an extruded loft, or (alternatively) trim a voronoi-based extrude to the confines of an extruded loft?
As per the image below, I am trying to contain the voronoi extrude to an extruded loft (highlighted in green) with the aim of creating an hexagonal mesh with a certain z-thickness.
P.S. I would add the 3dm file but at 37mb it's a bit large...

Something along those lines yes, I want the voronoi to be contained within the extruded loft....
Perhaps I should be using the Voronoi 2D component? Using the 2D Voronoi component I get the following outcome:
The only issue is i'm not sure how to then transpose the voronoi pattern on to the extruded loft...
Any thoughts?
Welcome to
Grasshopper
