algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello, everyone! I apologise in advance for my poor English. I'm a beginner user of grasshopper and for my thesis I have to use it to to make a 2D/3D visibility analysis of a seafront promenade. Can you suggest me wich are the best plugins to do that? And tutorials?

ps. You have to use it for your thesis? Man, I'm glad my teachers never insisted I use specific software for my projects...
It's different. They made me read The view from the road of Kevin Lynch and then suggested to make an analysis of the perception of the landscape on the basis of the book's concepts. Since the professor who follows me is teaching a course focused on the use of grasshopper the only idea i had is to make a visibility analysis with grasshopper. Do you think is the right way to face the problem?
Thak you so much for your time and for being so helpful! Does this definition make also 3d anaysis?
I've also read about Decoding Spaces plugin that can perform visibility analysis...Do you know it?
Hallo Federico,
you could also use SpiderWeb, works only in 2D but enables to connect the isovist analysis to analysis like integration ... and can be combined with space syntax plugin...
For more details see Visual Graph example at:

also it should outpreform the isovist approche since it uses recursive shadow casting. The more obstacles you have the faster the algorithm works.

This works in 3D - No plugins - uses Grasshopper components 'IVist' and 'IVRay':
Thank you so much for your help!!
