SetCam does not seem to be working correctly. I suggest you drop it. For either the one I made (very basic) or the horster one.

what is the hoster one called? ... It's not against you man ... I love you already very much ... I mean, who else would bare with me like your good self ;) ...

It's for some real work for university ... I get some errors messages, when I start your component ... do you maybe have some website, where there is a "gha or ghx or what do I know" for your component? ...

Thanks man!

Which one is the hoster one?

I wrote it this afternoon for you. (what error message are you getting)

Someone else was saying that the Horster one didn't seem to be in the download either. I seem to remember that they were separate downloads Reference and Camera Controls

Download the camera tools from here

http://www.food4rhino.com/project/horstercamcontrol

the problem ist, I get 3 error messages and then 4 error messages, when I use your component ...

horster doesn't want to work!

all what I really need in the moment ist just to zoom out and in ...
ERROR:

You can basically ignore them. Save the component in your own version of GH and you will not get them again.

how to save it?!
I just figured out, the the setcam component of chameleon is working just fine, but not in the top view!!!!!!!!! It's working in the viewport perspective ...
EDIT: AND ALSO THE ONE FROM HOSTER! :D

Now how do I tell this components, that I want them to concentrate on the top viewport?! :D

And how to save your precious component with the other components, so that I won't get this errors again? ... Thank you man!!!

EDIT:
Oh man! It's also fine it's onle working in the viewport perspective ... ok, I got this now with the setcamera I guess ... Just tell me how to save your component right with the other components, that I have?

EDIT: I was working for long time in the top view ... That's why I was a bit fixed on the viewport ... It's fine if these "setcamera components" work in the other viewport ...

How to save this component? ...

Chrome on my tablet is crashing everytime i try and paste a link. So you will have to use the search facility to the left and look for ghuser. results is me answering a question about saving clusters as ghuser objects. Same principle

but i actually just meant save the file. As in click save

Got it

So now I have got three components to set the camera position hehe :D

The natural thing is to ask, how I can animate a moving camera!

If I have a dynamic input as the "Target Point", then the camera will move as this target point is moving ... How can I make frames out of this ... I thing that the animcamera the right component for something like this ... I still couldn't figure out how to use it though ... I messed a lot about with this component ... only once it worked fine (not very fine really^^) ... so what's is the logic behind this component? ...

many many thanks!

I have a messy problem, that could be solved, if I could get hold ot the camera in the Top Viewport ... These set camera components get always hold of the camera in the xyz-Viewport ...

Is there ANY way of setting the camera in grasshopper to get the camera in the Top Viewport?

EDIT: Seems to be a real problem for me

Hi guys,

Love the work! Please would you consider adding a function to the horster camera components that makes them only work on a user specified viewport. That way I can have a definition set up for the Perspective Viewport and it not mess up the others when they go active.

Many thanks,

Danny
