algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi guys
I have a sort of "perimeter" (this perimeter could be different, with more openings instead of 3 of the image). I would close these "openings", but without the Extend command (these openings could have different length). Is there someone that could help me?

lets take all lines, find the start/end points, merge the 2 lists, delete the double points, decompose points in X,Y,Z and get the count. We take all x values / count. Same with Y and Z values. Now we put X,Y,Z together and we have a kind of "G" point. Now we make lines. G as start and each point from list as end. Take one curve, build vector. Take second curve, build vector. Get the angle. In this way you can order your end points.
Sorry but I don't have CULLPT, I have an old version of GSH :-(
uuuuhh ... thank you very much Raul, this evening I'll try it. Hope that someone one could help me to do the next step!! ;-)
a goog idea could be also to update your GH and to get some add ons like tree8, lunchbox, ...
grrrr ... I can't open your attachments. I can't change my GSH version because I've a lot of plug-in that runs with this version and also Rhino 4.0!! :-( U are right to suggest me to update GSH.
i think there arent many components that you need. Kangaroo also have a component dupPt (removeDuplicatePts). Maybe you can use this one to get rid of dup points. Let me know if it works.
Hi,
thats sad. I have the solution! I must mork with normal polygons (center inside, not twisted and so on).
Im working with Rhino 5 and GH 0.9.14.
Maybe you can adapt this to Rhino 4 - GH 0.8.66.
Now the solution as picture and as GH data
Hi Raul, I installed Rhino 5 and the last GSH. But there is a problem with your attachments, it seems that is not working right :-(
True,
The problem is that your figure contains to many corners (not sides or ventrices).
When you connect "G" with every corner and every opening you can see that the lines will intersect sometimes. In this case the order of the ventrices is broken.
I hope you can use the tool for many/most of yout figures doing the rest by hand.
Personaly i dont see any other way to order the ventrices.
Thats all i can do ...
by the way,
Andrews solution works fine until L(gap) < L(side)
