algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Vector Output to .pdf or .ai with solid fill

Hi y'all!

 

I realize this question relates to Rhino output/printing; however, due how I created the content and the type of content on this discussion board, I think it's fair game.

 

I'm using GH to create custom 2-dimensional charts for a building programming exercise. After baking the results into Rhino, my goal is to output vector versions of the charts either by 1)exporting an .ai file or 2)printing to the virtual pdf printer... both are successful. Yet neither method results in a solid fill in Adobe Illustrator: Both result in  stroke outlines without a fill color. 

 

As a work-around, I have output a high resolution rastered image, but I'm then locked into the output and have less facile control over color, etc.

You have to export hatches to Illustrator

Could you provide a brief explanation of the hatch assigning/exporting process...?

 

I'm using the bakeAttributes component with a wide variety of colors, and I would like to maintain the colors assigned in GH.  My current knowledge of hatching involves "flattening" all the colors to a single color.

I just wrote a C# component for producing hatches with GH - they export nicely to illustrator as solid fills.

Andrew this is now in Human as CreateHatch, right?

For some reason it doesn't seem to be recognizing color attributes - see the attached image and file.

The att parameter needs an "object attributes" data type - see attached.
