algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I'm trying to get the concept down and I'm having so much trouble getting anywhere that I don't even have a useful GH file to post. I've added a screenshot showing what I'm trying to figure out.
I want to take a network of curves (hex, voronoi, mesh edges, whatever) and use the Variable Pipe command to create a structure of breps. I want to vary the pipe diameter with an attractor curve or point.
I have seen some similar images from David Stasiuk done with Exoskeleton. I'm looking to do that with breps and the variable pipe tool.
Any hints are very appreciated!

Maybe this can be a start for you... maybe...
Thanks for the file. You're getting closer than I did, but I'm looking for something more adaptable. I want to be able to plug in any set of curves and return a set of pipes where the radius of the pipe at each curve endpoint is tied to the endpoint's distance from an attractor object. If I take your example and throw a voronoi pattern in (for example. see attached.) it doesn't work how I'm picturing.
I have also attached a file I have been working on, but I can't seem to get output from the variable pipe even though there aren't any errors.
I spent quite a bit more time on this and finally got what I was looking for. My problem was with tree organisation (as It always seems to be with me being so new to grasshopper). In case anyone comes to this discussion later looking for an answer I've posted my script here. This one uses the Topologizer plugin to clean up the line network, but you don't need it.
