Using Image sampler to modify 3D structure

Hello everybody, I’m getting stuck with this issue from a while…

I’m using an image sampler component do modify the radius of 3D structure, as you can see from the picture it works pretty ok 

but there’s an issue that can’t really figure out.

I can’t really understand why circle associated with the same color can have different

radius. This let the loft become a simple cylinder instead of a smooth transition.

If anyone can help me…
