User Object not appearing in command bar

Hey all,

I'm a big fan of creating user objects to save time, simplify the display and to share but for some reason not all the user objects I have placed in the appropriate folder appear in the command bar.

Is there something I can do to force these to be loaded, or open them as ghx files to try to 'recreate' them as user objects as unfortunately I don't have all of the original files.

Have you tried searching them with double clicking and typing? I know I usually set my user objects to be in specific tabs relative to their use. Maybe yours went to different tabs.

Yes I have. I thought the same thing myself. They don't appear randomly in any other tabs and don't come up in a typed search. They are definitely in the user object folder though...

what happens when you drag the file on to the Canvas?

if there is a problem loading them at start up then this should show up when this is done. you should end up with another user object in the folder with a 1 suffix.

the other thing is are you using a custom ribbon layout? I've found that once you create a different ribbon anything new will not show up unless you add them yourself.

Hey Danny,

Seems to have fixed the issue. I didn't know I could drag it onto the canvas to add. There is one pesky object that won't budge but perhaps I've corrupted it somehow. I seem to have that effect on things

sorry to bother you with this late reply. But I seem to have the same problem now: my user tab doesn't seem to show up - even when I drag the file onto the canvas. Any tips?

I think I have a similar problem with you guys,

I convert a bundle into a user object, add it to my custom tab with no problem, but every time I relaunch grasshopper, it leaves a blank space where the icon should be.

When I edit the tab, upon hovering over the blank icon, I get this message:
