algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I cannot figure out how to get the user object inputs to keep their custom names once they've been saved as a user object. Any tips?

Are you creating your user object from a cluster?  If so, make sure that you have set your cluster input/output properties and placed an appropriate parameter, (the cluster input/output will inherit the icon from the parameter type).

This example cluster now shows up like this when hovering over the N input:

Nothing should change if you then make it a user object.  What version of Rhino and GH are you using?

If you are creating your user objects from custom scripting components, that is a little different.
